Interns and Externs can volunteer to gain work experience and skills. Successful projects are provided a reference letter, college credits, and stipends.
HAFA: Bridging Health Gaps
HAFA stands for Health and Financial Assistance and is a medical referral program that works to eliminate barriers to healthcare and ensure women of color and other minority groups (young, old, poor, and disabled) access appropriately informed medical treatment. Medical providers facilitates the referral between patients and HAFA. We rely on our provider partners’ diagnosis and prognosis before we can assist with treatment, medication and alternative therapies. HAFA Network has educational opportunities in which medical intern/externs based in the United States and abroad can learn skills and work experience training in any particular area of medicine to refine their knowledge and acquire gainful employment.
HAFA provides an array of personal rehabilitative and medical services to clients in their home, and assist individuals in other community settings which are not limited to addiction prevention & treatment, mental health treatment, crisis intervention, counseling and preventive health guidance.
Mission: HAFA mission is to design caring and accessible health treatment and give financial assistance to low-income families and elderly. Engage civil involvement and protect civil liberties and ensure equal opportunity and access to minority groups through neighborhood revitalization developments, and the promotion of voluntarism that encourages positive communal relations, as well; beautifies the place we call home.
